Description
Corporate social responsibility acts and ethical leadership enable the organizations to meet the government rules and regulations and also meet expectations of their stakeholders, sponsors and customers (Mackinnon & Fiala, 2014). Organization’s CSR approach reveals its approach towards environmental sustainability and social investments in supporting the society, employees and maintaining effective governance (Carroll & Buchholtz, 2008). Ethical principles and corporate social responsibility acts enable organizations to act responsibly towards the society and the environment and build a positive image among the customers and society (Mackinnon & Fiala, 2014). The report discusses the factors influencing in achieveing the objective developed for the case of BP oil spill wherein the company failed to follow ethical principles. The report then identified the appropriate macro and micro ethical leadership approaches, which can help achieve the objective and also provide contingency leadership approach to overcome the obstacles in achieveing the objective.
