Description
Kuen Cheng High School has undergone a great change in the past decade. It has always been a famous girls’ school in Kuala Lumpur, but it decided to go co-educational in 2006, which means it will take in male students, and the policy was finally put into practice in 2008. This paper aims to investigate how the change of the single-sex school policy to co-educational school policy is communicated to Kuen Cheng High School’s administrative staffs. The four research questions included what is the channel, communication style, content and direction of communication used to communicate the organizational change to the administrative staff. A qualitative research method will be used to collect information regarding the change communicated at Kuen Cheng High School. Interviews will be conducted upon the people who are directly involved in the changes, namely the administrative staffs of the school. The non-probability sampling technique is used to determine the people to be interviewed and the sample size will be 3 people. The channel, communication style, content and the direction of communication used to communicate the change of organizational system at Kuen Cheng High School are expected to be identified through the research.
