Essay 1 -
Child development refers to the development of psychological, biological and emotional changes, which occur in human beings from the birth and is influenced by environment, social and cultural values and the approaches in which he/she learns to develop the changes. This essay analyses Piaget’s developmental theory, which analyses his approach of studying and identifying the development of children’s understanding, through observing and talking and listening to them.

Post modernism and poststructuralism have a significant impact in the manner in which the children develop their abilities. The role of teachers in the development of the child is influenced by this since it requires them to consider the various contexts in which the child grows in the postmodern era, which makes increased use of computer and information technology. The essay discusses the postmodern and post structural perspectives and how it is important to role of a teacher in way childhood education.
