Description
The purpose of this study was to explore the extent to which festivals and special events impact on the social aspects of a community. The literature focused mainly the economic and environmental impacts from events; however, the main focus in this paper is to analyse the social aspects of a community. The study also examined dimensions of community life that were impacted from positive and negative events. A brief outline is given related to the importance of evaluating events in order to make future improvements. The essay finishes with a summary of the major findings relating to the impacts on social aspects of a community.
