techniques that have been presented in Molecular Techniques 632. To evaluate a
scientific article you need to remember scientific facts in the article, understand
what is being done in the article (especially the methods and approaches used),
be able to apply your knowledge to question the methods and assumptions used
in the article, analyse the data of the article, and finally use all of the previous
thinking to formally evaluate the article.
This assignment is important to your education and learning in two ways:
(1) the thinking skills you will use in this assignment matches the learning
objectives of this unit. That is, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to
remember, understand, apply, analyse, and evaluate biomedical techniques. And
you will also be creating a written evaluation of the article.
(2) you will be using skills that an academic, scientist, or other professional, will
use when asked to review the work of others.
This assignment consists of two interrelated tasks:
