The paper focuses on evaluating the utility of the theory of National Competitive Advantage rendered by Michael Porter relating to the activities pertaining to international trade. It would first focus on providing an effective understanding of theory of national competitive advantage as brought about by Michael Porter. Subsequently the paper would provide an argumentative analysis of the model by reflecting on the salient potentials and limitations of such in the paradigm of conducting international trade by companies related to different industries.
