Description

This study seeks to determine the strategies for effective cross cultural training. The focus of the study will be HSBC bank which is a very well known and established name in the banking sector in UK and all over the world. In multinational organizations where people belong to different cultures and diverse backgrounds, the importance of cross cultural training cannot be over emphasised. When people from entirely different cultures are communicating with each other in order to make important business decisions, the chances of conflicts are always there due to differences of backgrounds. Cross cultural training helps to create awareness among people which enhances better business relationships essential for individual and organizational growth. Cross culture training programs enable employees to closely work together in order to achieve common organisational goals
This study also aims at investigating the drivers behind HSBC bank initiatives on cross cultural training and their impact on the organization. Training is considered as one of the most important activities of the HR department in any organization and HR leaders nowadays are emphasizing on cross cultural training of the staff members in order to create an environment where employees can perform to the best of their abilities. Cross cultural training is very important for HSBC bank because it is a multinational and multi-cultural organization with offices in different parts of the world and employees from different cultures are communicating on daily basis with each other to perform their job responsibilities. Toensure the smooth processing of the business operations and effective business relationships, the management of HSBC bank has initiated cross cultural training for the employees within the organization
