Globalization of banking system has enabled increased capital flows, support for multi-national companies and increased integration of global trade cycle. Australian banks have their presence in the Asian regions from more than a decade and have recorded strong growth in their revenues and exposure in the region. Australian banks have strong presence in China, Japan and India, which are the strongest and growing economies in the world. All the Australian banks mainly focus on providing cross-border banking services, but ANZ Bank has seen significant growth in business and profits through retail banking.
