Description
There has been substantial growth and changes in the composites due to newer technological inventions. A couple of the newer inventions are resin technology and filler technology (Noort, 2002). Many materials have been tried and tested over years for use of core material. The requirements of core material still remain strength and durability over the years in the face of mastication and parafunction. The paper ‘Diametral and compressive strength of dental core materials’ by Cho et al. (2002) explores diametral and compressive tensile strengths of eight core material and arrives upon a conclusion that light cured hybrid resin composites are preferred to the other materials for dental filling. This paper makes critical analysis of the study by Cho et al. (2002).
