Task 1 (Max 1000 Words) (40% Mark)
Critically evaluate the implementation of lean and agility strategies in MPA to promote their long term strategic maritime objectives which are quality, environmental sustainability, competitiveness, reliability and efficiency. You are required to compare and contrast application of lean, agility and also interface of these two as Leagility in global maritime logistics to achieve the long term objectives. It is required to identify the lean and Agility principles and techniques and then critically evaluate their benefits and limitations towards these long term strategic objectives in MPA. Then, critically evaluate how and why Leagility can be a better strategy to be considered to achieve those long term objectives.
Task 2 (Max 1000 Words) (40% Mark)
Critically evaluate the role of TQM and its tools and techniques to present the MPA as the center of excellence in early future. You are required to identify main TQM tools and techniques and then analyse what could be key benefits and limitations of TQM and its tools and techniques towards transforming MPA to an excellent business model. You must investigate the day-to-day practical limitations in MPA against application of TQM culture and its tools and techniques.
