Description

The Umayyad caliphate was followed through generations by the Umayyad family and was regarded as the first dynasty in Muslim community. Their leadership existed during 661 - 750 AD emerging from the primary Islamic religion to an influential territory (Bianchin et al., 2007). When Ali, having a radical view of the Islamic faith died then a strong fight emerged in the spiritual and political aspects amongst the greater supporters of the customary Islamic belief referred as Sunnis and the fundamental Ali’s supporters referred by way of Shiites (Nasr, 2016). Success of the Sunnis resulted in formulation of the dynasty named Umayyad, having capital at Damascus in Syria.
