Q1. Identify three important Operation Management (OM)
decision areas (e.g. quality, inventory management, layout or process design etc.) in your case company. Critically analyse the present activities of the firm on the company OM decision areas and suggest ways to improve performance (1,250 words).
Q2. Evaluate the strengths and weakness of the company in
such a way to show how both can be synergistically exploited to improve the performance (500 words)

Description
Organizational operations refer to the processes, which transforms the input resources to finished products or services and provide direct or indirect benefits to the customers (Heizer & Render, 2010). Operations management includes managing the interlinked processes within the organization, which are aimed at achieveing the organizational objectives and obligations towards the customers (Brown et al., 2013). It is a process wherein the resources flow through an established system, which are linked in a manner that the resources are transformed in controlled manner and value is added to the resource at every point and certain policies and procedures are followed, which are implemented by the management (Hill & Hill, 2012). This report analyzes the three important operation management decision areas of Schlumberger. Schlumberger is the leading provider of technology and services for drilling, production and reservoir characterization and processing to oil and gas industry (SLB, 2017). The report also evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of the company and recommends how it can be used to improve the performance of the organization.
