This report is based on the following requirement -
The International Labour Organisation define the role of occupational health services as
‘multidisciplinary services having essentially preventive and advisory functions and being responsible for assisting employers, workers and their representatives in establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment…’
With this in mind you are required to submit a 2500 word essay detailingan appropriate in-house occupational health provision for a company which collects and recycles commercial waste from local businesses.
The company has approximately 150 members of staff which include, senior management staff, office based administration staff, refuse collection drivers and manual staff. The manual staffempty bins into the lorries, help sort the waste and move the waste around the site in front loaders.
The company currently has no occupational health provision.
