The report aims to analyze and discuss the various aspects related to organizational development and political change interventions within an organization. The various recommendations under Organizational development approach include co-operation, openness among the team members of the organization. On the other hand, political approach states that the underlying factors that induce change within an organization are the continually changing dynamics of organizational power play and dynamics. The changes are the results of the strategies implemented by the pressure groups, which are formed to fulfill the objectives of the interested parties. According to the recommendations of the political approach, the change agents should be adept at using their political skills to fulfill their individual goals a well as the larger goals of the organization. The ethical issues concerning political approach state that the change agents should also consider the organizational goals, while fulfilling their own objectives. As far as the evaluation techniques under organizational development approach are concerned, surveys and feedbacks from the team members are quite common. These evaluations are conducted to assess the reactions of the team members after implementing the change programs. Political approach states that behavioral changes and spontaneous feedbacks of the team members provide clear idea about the reception of the implemented changes. Institutionalization is the process of reestablishing the implemented changes as an integral part of an organization. Under Organizational development approach this particular step is known as “refreezing”. It involves motivating the team members through promotions and rewards to follow the newly implemented changes and encouraging fresh talents to be part of the organization. Political approach states that the changes formed by the strategies implemented by the interest groups become established, if they are found to be preferable by the other team members. Also, the different aspects of the organizational environment that induce the changes within the organization are discussed. The different aspects that are present within the organizational environment include global competition, global economy, customers, and interest groups. One or more of these aspects stimulate the changes within an organization.
