Description

Majority of small business enterprises have a tendency to operate without keeping any records of their operations. However, some have taken up the challenge of adopting modern management systems. The believe that management systems are only for large enterprises is losing currency.
Motor garden agencies are such an enterprise. The entrepreneur has embraced universal business management systems that include book keeping, auditing, human resources and remuneration standards, marketing, public relations and strategic alliances.
This research project is prove that a small enterprise can excel and grow with proper management and business practice.
The name has a metaphorical significance denoting variety. As a sole entrepreneurship, the business is currently in the growth part of development
Customers range from neighboring shops to far-flung clients from across the country. With a modest market share of 20% in whole sale business, and tight competition, the business exploits its unique strengths to keep ahead of the competition.
Internally, the business has a well defined structure to ensure smooth operations. Professional recruitment and competitive remuneration is a business strength and tactic.
By proper book keeping and auditing, the business has a professional financial management system. Strategic marketing, production and technological innovation as well as adapting to the environmental factors both internally and externally have ensured both survival and growth.
This research also makes the following recommendations for current and future growth:
The business should apply for IFC micro enterprise loan for expansion, establish new exclusive distributorship agreements, participate in government procured tenders, and rebrand.
