Description
Knowledge management (KM) can be simply understood as the process that helps make available information across an industry or community thereby increasing the effectiveness of the information. While it has been extensively applied to the field of business, it has found a fewer number of applications in the social field being given attention to, mainly due to a lack of investment. However, this is changing given the effectiveness of KM in the organizational setup. Let us therefore look at the application of KM for a non – profit cause that will help us identify the underlying theories concerning KM and reveal different approaches to achieving objectives through the use of KM (Nikam & Ganesh, 2004).
