Description
Creativity and innovation in organizations enable it to sustain and grow in the dynamic business environment (Lockwood & Walton, 2009). Creativity at individual level in organizations is essential and should be encouraged for the organization to be creative and innovative. Individuals avoid creative thinking due to various individual blocks, which reduces their creative abilities in long term (Henry, 2006). Individual blocks to creativity are developed due to psychological factors or due to the behavior they develop over the years from the external environment and individual habits and mindset (Lockwood & Walton, 2009). This report analyzes the theoretical concepts of individual blocks to creative thinking. It also evaluates the techniques to enhance creative thinking among individuals. The report assesses the individual blocks in the organization of the author of this report and provides recommendations to overcome the blocks.
