- You are required to find, read and evaluate the writings of one of the leading theorists in the field of
globalisation and international trade i.e.
* Jagdish Bhagwati
* Thomas Friedman
* Kenichi Ohmae
You analysis should make use of a minimum of two articles by your chosen person of which AT LEAST
ONE must be a JOURNAL ARTICLE or BOOK. In order to evaluate the writings and opinions of your
chosen author you will need to make comparison with other references such as your textbook, books on
your reading list or other theorists. Hence it is expected that your reference list for this task should
include approximately six (6) sources(REFERENCES)
Your commentary on the writings should include:
1. A brief summary of what the authors central arguments are in relation to the topic (ie globalization,
2. A theoretical discussion of the article. Evaluate the content of the article in relation to your textbook
and other sources. Be sure to discuss the following:
* To what extent does it agree with the text and/or other authors
* In what ways does it contradict the text and/or other authors
* What new information/learning does it contribute to your understanding of this topic.
3. A critical analysis of the article based on (2) above.
