- PART A
Prepare a brief discussion paper summarising the range of environmental issues and options in environmental law for sustainable management of the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park and its catchment. This should include brief discussions of the legal tools available under the Resource Management Act as well as under other relevant legislation.
PART B
Prepare a basic Assessment of Environmental Effects to obtain a resource consent to establish an activity within the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park or Hauraki Gulf Catchment. The activity can be chosen by yourself but your choice should involve consultation with your lecturer during tutorials.
Some additional information and resources will be provided during the tutorials but the onus is on the student to provide the research for the assignment.
Total length should be a maximum of 5,000 words, more or less but preferably less.
