- Assignment tasks
This assignment requires you to complete all three tasks using a wide range of academic literature and relating key theories and models to your own experiences. For all three tasks, it is important to make a record of all the sources that you come across and use, so that you can reference your work fully and accurately using the Harvard system.
Task 1
Examine a managerial structure, culture and system within an organization of your choice. In your answer, you should critically discuss the extent to which the organization has been successful in meeting its stated objectives and whether the organization has adapted its managerial structure, culture and systems in responding to recent economic events such as the slowing down of the Chinese, Indian and Brazilian economies, as well as Britain’s decision to leave the European Union.
Task 2
Explain what characteristics and features makes a ‘successful’ managerial leader and critically discuss the work of ONE (1) successful managerial leader employed at either a national or multinational organization. In your answer, you should discuss concepts and theories relating to leadership and teams.
Task 3
Please prepare a reflective statement about the material which we have covered on the MOB course (this should be no more than 400 words). To help you it is useful to follow these steps: -
1. What new knowledge did I encounter?
2. How did I react?
3. How have I thought about it since then?
4. What will I do as a result of learning this new knowledge?
