2. The relevant timescale of your coverage is from start of crisis until the submission date.
3. Withreferencetotheappropriateliteratureoncrisismanagement, critically evaluate your chosen organisation’s response to the crisis: -
What did they do? Identify their strategic and tactical responses.
What have they done well?
What should they have done/could they have done better?

4. Finally,whatlessonsmightbelearnedhere?Provideexplicit
recommendations on how your chosen organisation might more effectively respond to a future crisis.

6. Aspecialfolderwithfurtherguidelines/adviceandresourcesonboth report writing and crisis management will be added to the module’s Moodle page as an additional resource
*Coverage
A potential variation here, rather than looking at a single organisation, might be to look at a range of organisations within the same sector e.g.:
fast food;
luxury hotels; cruise ships
resorts etc.
Here, under this variant, you would explore how your chosen sub-sector have reacted to the Covid-19 crisis and the extent to which they have observed best practice in respect of the crisis management theory/guidelines.
So, it is the same assessment but with options to use a wider range of organisation examples. You should make it clear in your TERMS OF REFERENCE what your coverage is: a single organisation or a specific hospitality sub-sector. Depending on the information available to you this option of looking at a sub-sector might work better for you.
Assessment Criteria:
You will be assessed on the extent to which you successfully address the following (weightings in brackets):
1. Identification of the full range of impacts and issues associated with crisis (25%);
2. Critical evaluation (through the use of appropriate crisis management literature) of the selected organisation’s responses to crisis (40%);
3. Conclusionandrecommendations(20%);
4. Effective use of management report format and APA 6th referencing (15%).
