Description
The study is about Ashland Inc which started its operations in the year 1924 with oil refining. Over a period of time the company expanded its operations within oil refining industry as well as diversified in differing other industries like construction, chemicals, petro-chemicals to name a few. Inappropriate planning resulted in mismanagement within the organization which forced to company to pursue consolidation of activities. Further to gain competitive advantage the company had to implement a series of modern technologies like ERP and SAP for which the company initiated a change management program.
Objective of the Study
The objective of this paper is to provide for analysis of differing changes pursued by Ashland Inc along with hindrances faced by the same. It further provides for a theoretical framework for changes by Ashland Inc is also developed. Also the study lays down aspects related to leadership and change management along with determining the same for Ashland Inc. Finally a communication arrangement is shaped for Ashland Inc to support them in implementing continuous change management for augmenting organizational efficiency.
