Description
Human relationships and networking have changed drastically as a result of developments in communication technologies. At the forefront of this change is social networking sites and the concept of friending. Social networking sites are web-based services that allow people to connect and network with each other while friending is a mechanism used in social networking sites to acknowledge or identify friends and acquaintances. Friending is not just limited to people we know but even extends to complete strangers. One of the negatives of friending is the compromise of privacy. There are various risks involved with sharing personal information with strangers. Friending has also changed the relationship dynamics between a student and teacher. It has had both positive and negative effects. Social networks and friending have also opened up new opportunities for business to promote and market their products and services to a wider and more targeted audience. It is also a platform for businesses to find investors to support their expansion plans.
