Description
Organizational performance is directly influenced by the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal elements of the organization. The organizations to continue to perform well needs to constantly analyze the external and internal forces and bring required changes in the internal elements accordingly. If the organization’s ignore these forces it can lead to serious problems, as seen in the case of Ministry of Health (MoH), which has tried to increase efficiency by decentralizing the health centers and encouraging them to operate their centers independently but due to internal issues in the health centers it has not been able to function effectively, which has led to issues in the medicine procurement and inventory department. Hard systems approach is an effective approach, which enables identification and analysis of issues effectively and also enables finding effective solution to overcome the issue. The organization’s structure, processes and human resource practices are not as effective as it should be and require changes to increase its efficiency and reduce the costs and wastages of the operations. Of the medicine procurement department.
