Description
Operations management refers to overseeing and controlling all the processes that enable transformation of inputs into outputs. Operations management is a crucial aspect of the organization and it provides maximum value to the customer with the effective use of resources (Chase et al., 2005). Every organization and industry have some particular operations management processes, which enable them to perform effectively and enables the organization to have a competitive edge. OIFC is the only private sector company, which provides the services of billing collection and deb factoring for water, electricity and telecom services (OIFC, 2012). The processes, which are critical to the organizational performance of OIFC are process design, and service design and quality management. The report analyses these operations management decision areas at OIFC and evaluates its strengths and weaknesses and provides recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
