Description

This assignment tis based on the following requirements –
The purpose of this assignment is to develop a comprehensive event logistics planning. Students will have to undertake a research project on an event of their choice. You are free to choose any event in the world for your case study or alternatively you can compare different events. Your research can be either qualitative or quantitative. It can be in the form of an interpretation of the collected secondary data and information about the selected event or it can involve a simple statistical analysis of data (e.g. visitor numbers, flow mapping).
Your report could include the followings:
i) Purpose, location and scale of event;
ii) Stakeholders, coordination and logistical support required for the event;
iii) Logistical periods, logistical functions and specific needs (see the lecture notes);
iv) Traffic control and crowd management; and
v) Emergency and evacuation plan.
